Dinner tonight is straight from The Source! In order to launch MediaMath's new software "The Source," which provides a transparent view into agency ad spending, Crush designed a traveling pop-up market complete with branded bags, recipe cards and the ingredients for agency partners to “shop” for their ingredients. Additionally, Crush helped deck out MediaMath HQ at the World Trade Center to help employees get in the spirit of the new launch complete with a farm-to-table employee luncheon.
This fresh farmstand provided an eye-catching visual and engaging activation for MediaMath reps to engage partners. Nom nom!

Brand Activation & VIP Lounge

Dos Equis celebrated their sponsorship of the National Football Championship in-style with a three-part event in New Orleans. The hotel lounge, a VIP dinner on Bourbon St. and a game-filled tailgate party right before the big game. Crush decked out all three spaces for XX’s partners and VIP by creating a red and green themed lounge for hotel hangs, an evening event filled with beignets and custom beer glass engraving at Cane & Table and, lastly, a festive and competitive lunch at Johnny Sanchez. The tailgate party featured giant jenga, cornhole, and likely some drinking games. (We can neither confirm nor deny!)
All three spaces had a cohesive look and feel that celebrated Dos’ style with a NoLA twist. We were able to integrate clever and cheeky sayings throughout the three venues leaning into Dos’ clever branding and marketing efforts.

Event Decor & Party

The HCT sales team treated their partners and clients to a gorgeous night at The Hotel Figueroa in Downtown LA in conjunction with the MakeUp in LA conference. We helped HCT take over the venue and set the stage for a magical night. Crush dreamed up a warm and ethereal setting with jewel-toned decor, twinkly candles and lighting, and moody decor. Guests were able to have their fortunes read in one of the architectural nooks, or step into another for a premium whisky tasting. Crush worked with the Hotel Figuero to dial in the menu and custom cocktails - making sure every step of the event was gorgeous as the guests were.

We helped Apartment List popup at the Apartment Innovation & Marketing conference in Huntington Beach, Calif. Apartment List stood out of the crown in their adorable tented booth complete with loungy furniture for deal-making conversations. Potential clients became regulars at the booth trying to score some of the highly-coveted swag sourced by Crush and displayed in candy-colored displays.

We kicked a bland corporate space into high-style for Capital One at the James Beard Taste America food and wine soiree. Guests' main mission was to nosh on the amazing food and sample beverage selections at the event, but our job was to provide a branded lounge that provided them with a space to sit, relax and partake of the yummy offerings. Guests had the chance to capture the moment with a greenery filled photo op and grab a sweet treat from the branded ice cream cart

Brand Activation

We dialed up the graphics and the fun of this event to make a lasting impression! We worked with RQ Experiential to create an in-your-face playful space for ComicCon talent to tour while visiting the Getty photo studio. A bar complete with all the ‘za guests could handle, a playful city background featuring superhero and pizza-themed props, a lounge for A-list talent to hide-out and, of course, video games. In order to bring the ultimate comic twist to this event, we created a strong graphic visual style and covered all the walls and utilized our art skills to add black trim details to standard white furniture - creating the visual that the lounge areas had popped right out of the pages of a comic book. Take that, ComicCon! Kapow!

With the launch of Fridababy’s postpartum recovery product line, Frida Mom, vaginas became the topic of conversation. While Frida Mom aims to provide a space in the marketplace for recovery products such as ice maxi pads and undeniably soft mesh underwear, we designed a space that would bring press right into the belly of the beast, aka the moments where mothers have to care for themselves in between caring for a newborn — the hospital room and the bathroom. 

We created an immersive experience where press was invited into the Waiting Womb with a birth announcement that revealed the size of their newborn and just what those pounds and ounces did to their vagina (hint: we’re talking tearing and hemorrhoids). Press was then led through the hospital and bathroom vignettes where Chelsea Hirschhorn, CEO of Fridababy, led them through the birthing experience and showcased how each product in the line helps to soothe and recover from that experience. 

Takeaways included an ice cold popsicle from the Padsicle truck and a decadent Vaginacake — happy birthing!

This coral beauty stood out a full level above the rest, literally. As part of a brand sponsorship, Crush was tasked with the design and build out of the multi-level Marriott Bonvoy by Chase footprint at the Charleston Wine & Food Festival. We developed the theme of The World is Your Playground and brought it to life with a live custom mural activation, a giant map with yarn pointing to the destinations our attendees are dying to go to and – crowd favorites – a see-saw and tire swings! 
Other highlights included branded hotel key giveaways, recycled tire florals and a Turn & Learn wall featuring card member benefits. Plus, the VIP Lounge had food and drinks galore, complete with a special viewing for night concerts! Guests enjoyed the interactive nature of the festival, and walked away with full hearts – and full bellies!

To kick-off the 2019 Makeup in LA conference, HCT invited clients to kickback and relax in a colorful and playful sanctuary , which we designed with their theme of 'The Color Movement' in mind. 

From the decor, to the lighting, to the candy bar, the event space was bursting with bright colors and playful textures. The curation highlighted the idea of disruption by bringing street art into a pastel oasis, serving as a representation of the bright & colorful street-art in and around Los Angeles. Whether it was the edible glitter kissing the rim of signature cocktails or the confetti GIF booth, the entire space was curated with 'Instagrammable' in mind. Click, click, click and post!

Website Photo Shoot

When events came to a halt during COVID-19, we quickly helped Apartment List bring a refresh to their site by shooting a series of custom playful rooms based on our previous event work with them. We imagined a pink and red poppy kitchen with no detail left-untouched (we do not recommend turning on an oven wrapped in pink vinyl though!). Jars were filled with candy that the crew kept stealing to bring home the eye-candy filled set. On the other side of the room, Crush created an apricot and purple WFH and living space in a stylized and dreamy fashion. We partnered with Rachel Shoots Food to capture the content and while the Crushers styled and helped frame each shot specific for locations on the Apartment List website.

Product Launch Content

We turned our space into a photo studio to create, style and capture product photography and Instagram content for the newly launched SoftCup, reusable menstrual cup. In order to help launch the new brand we shot standard product shots as well as a tutorial use video and then added the icing on the cake by creating a series of playful stop-motion animation gifs that playfully showed how the menstrual cup was integrated into everyday life settings. We never expected to have so much fun working on menstrual cup content. Period.

Crush broke out our paint brushes and purple paint and partnered with ZeroSun production to shoot a 30-sec digital ad. Crush hired the talent, developed the script and shots, and, most importantly, created a stylized purple and mint apartment as the make-believe home for our younger renter Hero. The playful spot was featured on digital platforms and rounded out a series of color-blocked settings in the Apartment List brand colors.

We had a blast ramping up for the production, dialing in all the details. We leaned into some Type 2 fun navigating the logistics of overloading FedEx and ensuring all packages made it to their forever homes on-time and in-style!
