Crush Studio is seeking a talented, creative and organized Art Director/Graphic Designer to join our growing team. We are an event design and production studio based in Denver, that brings brands to life by designing and producing event experiences, unique set designs, VIP dinners, and custom corporate gifting. Our office is local but our work is national. 

Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, resourceful, creative and fun! We are looking for a person who can think conceptually about overall event art direction and graphic design and then integrate those into spaces in both large-format walls as well as into small-format printing like menus and collateral. 

The ideal candidate will have experience developing concepts, branding elements and working with existing branding guidelines. Experience working in events is ideal. We strongly prefer candidates that have illustration and sketching abilities for developing custom artwork. The Art Director will also collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the Event Designer and Creative Director, as well as the Project Management team. The AD/GD will also be part of our on-site installation team and will assist in on-site styling, graphics placement as well as general production.

We offer a hybrid office setting with a preferred 3-4 days in our Denver Studio and 1-2 days remotely at-home. Travel is expected every 6 weeks - 2 months.

  • Working with the Creative Director and Event Designer to set visual tone and art direction for project via white-board sessions and moodboards. 
  • Design all graphic components related to event and gifting projects - small things like menus, tags and cards, all the way up to big things like graphics for the sides of buildings and stages.
  • Design graphic components and creates production files for sets, promotional events, and parties in order to meet project objectives, budget parameters, and logistical parameters.
  • Work with Brand Guidelines for national brands and develops conceptual ideas for how to bring those brands to life on sets and in event spaces.
  • Design Crush branding and marketing elements as well as assist on the website

the ideal candidate will have

  • $70,000-$80,000 as Art Director / Graphic Designer
  • $55,000 - $65,000 as Graphic Designer
  • 10 paid holidays, plus soft close during the holiday break

Role & Responsibilities


  • Art Director - 5-7 years experience in design, including some event experience 
  • Graphic Designer only - 2-4 years experience in design
  • Excellent graphic design skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop patterns and custom graphic elements that play well together within the overall event atmosphere as well as experience working with large format graphics  
  • Understanding of working with brand guidelines and style guides.
  • Prefer candidates with illustration and sketching skills
  • Advanced use of Adobe Suite: specifically Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop
  • Knowledge of SketchUp and/or interest in learning preferred (please let us know your SketchUp knowledge level)
  • Ability to follow direction and operate in accordance with brand templates and company procedures.

The Art Director/Graphic Designer hybrid candidate will help set the tone and direction for all creative projects as well as work as the head of the Art Department and serve in a leadership capacity.

The Graphic Designer-only position is also being considered for a candidate with awesome design skills but with lesser experience and management skills.
