Lacey's love of design started at a young age when she took a paintbrush to the boring white walls of her bedroom and transformed them into a lush, fairy-filled garden—a color-soaked scene far removed from her tame Ohio surroundings. Though her skills needed some time to develop, she had found her spark. Much later, Lacey would turn that spark into pure passion when she started working with a museum exhibit design firm, learning everything from AutoCad and Illustrator to how to use a chop saw and what a Hilti-bolt was. She went on to work for both Universal Studios and Warner Bros. in marketing and PR arenas where she learned more about the corporate world and the ins-and-outs of creating and working with brand guidelines.
Since this lady naturally loves a party - she felt right at home combining the two elements in event design and production. After spending five years working with Allied Experiential, designing and executing events for brands such as New Balance, Chapstick, Zappos and Harry Potter, Lacey decided to start Crush so that she could return to “the studio” and focus on the design & build process.
Chennelle has never been one to shy away from adventure and opportunity. She has just the right amount of experience, curiosity and passion to delve into the crazy world of events and design. From bungee jumping off the Danube Tower, to shaving her head for a fundraising event, she is the type to go all in.
If there is one thing Chennelle is truly passionate about, it is bringing people together. She understands that events, especially the planning and coordination aspect, are what bring people together in a common space to share in an experience. She appreciates the nuances of how design and production work together to bring an event to life.
Including her 10 years in the hospitality industry, Chennelle has experience in everything from mixology, to project management, to event sponsorship, coordination and design. She has worked with such companies as Starwood Hotels, Kaiser Permanente, the Colorado Lottery and TEDxMileHigh. With her varied and growing skill set, Chennelle is sure to manage the shit out of any project.
Developing his craft of making furniture into more than just a hobby, Garrett enrolled in woodworking school, where after just 3 semesters, he was encouraged by professors to drop out and begin building professionally full-time. After creating several iconic sculptures in Denver, Lacey tracked him down and they began working together fabricating custom event pieces.
Garrett's work building fine furniture brings a level of detail that is rare to find in the event world. While ensuring that every piece built is to the highest standard of quality, he also works to ensure that pieces are easy-to-assemble on site (and on occasion haul through a cab in NY or fit in a Prius in LA). When items aren't built in his Denver shop - Garrett leads the charge on production with Crush's fabrication partners in NYC, LA and other major markets.
24 hours after an install or deadline, he can be found on a flight to the far reaches of the Earth - preferably a location with salty water and epic waves.

Often using objects for anything but their intended use she is our event McGyver. She prides herself on a good crafty challenge and delivering original concepts while being very budget conscious.
She has worked creating memorable spaces for clients such as Chapstick, Zappos and Warner Bros. Upon meeting Lacey she knew she had met her design soul mate and would work with her in some capacity for life.
