After petitioning for her first job as a Production Assistant with a museum-design firm, Lacey quickly fell in love with the idea of transporting guests into other worlds through physical spaces. Gaining international marketing and branding experience through stints with both Universal Studios Creative and Warner Bros., Lacey soon found a way to combine her skillsets in Experiential Design. She went on to spend five years working as the Design Director for an event agency in LA and NYC. With an intense passion to be back in the studio, she started Crush Studio in 2016 so that could build a team focused on the design & build process.
When she isn’t rearranging the office, you can find her practicing her Spanish, south of the border.
You may or may not ever see Nicole, but she plays a pretty big advisory role to the Crushers and holds a special place in our heart. Partly the fun aunt, partly our therapist--Nicole makes sure all the Crushers are rowing in the same direction. She helps us dial in our processes and procedures on the day-to-day level, streamline communications, as well navigate the intricacies of working in a fast-paced and intense industry. Nicole additionally serves as Senior Producer on special projects.
When she isn’t GTD and tagging her emails, Nicole can be found traveling, laughing, and brunching with her husband and two daughters, Vera and Rosalie.
Never one to shy away from an adventure, Chennelle has just the right amount of experience, passion and muscle to delve into the bananas world of events and design. Her background in hospitality quickly becomes apparent as this woman is the studio champ in patience. She likes her timelines and budgets but loves keeping us in line even more, while consistently keeping a strong focus on the creative vision of the project.
When she’s not leaving a sticky-note with a to-do list for one of us, you can find this mama cooking up some GF-AF goodies, taking her puppies (and hubs) on a long Colorado hike, or at the salon discovering a new shade to suit the season.
With a background in film & music PR, this babe ensures that our events are dialed in and photo ready. Leading up to the big day, this mama coordinates all the nitty gritty details of projects from figuring out the number of spools of ribbon we need for a craft project to locking in set builds with our fabricators. All while with the proper certifications and structural drawings in her back pocket.
When she’s not navigating the aisles of Home Depot or Ikea, you can catch her rock climbing at the nearest crag, mapping out her next backpacking trip, and partaking in any Type II fun.
This NYC native was immersed in the world of design and architecture at a young age while simultaneously learning the art of navigation in the New York City Subway. After graduating with a degree in Interior Design, Karla realized that experiential design was an opportunity to cultivate environments that speak to both the emotions and senses. Throughout a project, she develops project concepts, creates 3D renderings, and makes sure everything looks just-so on-site. We challenge you to find a dimension she hasn’t memorized by heart.
When she’s not driving an F150, you may catch a glimpse of her on two planks floating down the side of a snowy mountain.
This feisty chica keeps us running smoothly when she’s not running around town making our pillow and props dreams come true. As Studio Manager, Leah is responsible for keeping the lights on, keeping our studio well-stocked with Gaff tape, and dealing with our growing list of inventory and storage. She has an uncanny knack for knowing where all the things are all the time.
When she’s isn’t organizing a room full of boxes over her head, you can find Leah at a dive bar listening to live music, on a grassy sunshiney knoll listening to live music, or at an art festival listening to live music. She really enjoys...you guessed it.
With a background in set and event production as well as account management, this native Angeleno guides our clients through the various stages of a project life cycle. Being the oldest of five young brothers, she knows a thing or two about time management. Her bubbly personality and high energy make her a natural fit for cultivating relationships with both new and existing clients, while her creativity brings a spark to kick off any new project.
Once her color-coded calendar is organized and set, you can find her in the boxing gym, bouncing back and forth from New York City, or speeding down the streets on her favorite mode of transportation - a Bird.
This little angel landed on our doorstep fresh out of college and we couldn’t be more thrilled. She earns her keep creating patterns, graphics, illustrations, and layouts galore for all of our event needs. She also can frequently be found on site, using her savvy craft skills to install vinyl graphics and style spaces.
When she’s not drawing at the office, you can find her drawing out of the office, just likely in the company of her hubby and their small family of four furbabies.
