Spark Your Creativity // Brand Activation

As part of their sponsorship for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Shutterstock needed a serious soundstage transformation worthy of A-level talent. We designed and styled a luxurious lounge, where talent and their entourages could relax before getting ready for the camera. 

The transformation included constructing a pergola, bringing in a truckload of greenery, some serious signage moments, and a gallery wall of Shutterstock’s red-carpet moments. Each guest received a gift box with a customized LeLabo candle and branded matches.

Hey Google! // Sponsorship Activation

Google Home’s brand activation, at Variety’s Actors on Actors series, was designed to create a comfortable and luxurious space where talent could engage with the product in the exact same environment where the products are designed to be used - the home.

The soundstage at Goya Studios was morphed into a cozy home setting featuring an office, living room with talent engagement space, an indoor/outdoor living space and a kitchen and dining area featuring catering.

For a B2B in house party for HCT Group, we transformed their Santa Monica showroom and courtyard into an LA-themed beach par-tay.

The eye-catching decor elements included giant pink palm trees, a stylized outdoor lounge complete with oversized floaties, an ice cream cart, and a reflective, futuristic photo moment. Iridescent materials, fun neon accents and tropical plants tied the party together. A guest favorite: the summery “Pop it Like it’s Hot” cocktail which included popsicles dipped in glasses of Prosecco. Beach, please!

A Yurt with Flair // Environmental Design

A 40 x 40 footprint designed to be an oasis in Lake Tahoe, Calif. Details: 30-ft diameter yurt, Branded Product Displays, Living Wall, Braid Bar, Essential Oil Station and Fitting Room.

Independent Energy // Design Build

To thank filmmakers and talent for their creative energy—Dropbox designed a vibrant lounge which anchored the IndieWire Studios lounge. We came up with a clever build that fully covered the existing venue and transformed the space into a bold gallery. Guests were invited to sign the Independent Energy wall (a nod to the indepedent film festival), choose a screenprinted poster that they most identified with, and grab a screenprinted tote. It was emotional, magnetic, defiant, comedic, curious, whimsical, and all the things (according to the posters).

This on-camera environment was designed and built to serve as the background for Variety's series Actors on Actors (where one actor interviews another), airing on PBS.  The set was built to ensure that all finishes were non-reflective and looked stellar from multiple camera angles.

Bright Shiny Objects! // Event Decor

This existing SoHo storefront received a blingy makeover for a New York Fashion Week party featuring a new line of extravagant cards by designer Zang Toi.  The party decor included 9,000 floating sequins, sparkly dimensional logos, bedazzled paper-gem poles and a shimmery step & repeat.

Keeping it Light // Product Launches

This press preview featured a variety of light, bright and playful elements starring a brand product line. Custom design elements included clever product displays playing up the hydrating lipcare qualities, an interactive brand quiz, branded pillows and decor, and themed manicure and lip application stations.

Running Around the World // Press Preview

Six clever vignettes highlighted the new spring line of activewear and sneakers while also showcasing brand sponsorships around the world.  Editors received a new pair of sneakers and travel goodies from a Baggage Claim made of yoga mats and therabands before taking off.

Pray for Snow // Signage

A custom dimensional sign welcomed guests to this super cool snowboarding event in toasty Las Vegas. The Candy Rush candy bar, large scale graphics and theatrical lighting helped turned this bar into a Winter Wonderland.

Rocking the Trailer Park // Signage & Set Design

This lifestyle event for editors around the US, featured hero signage for towing training on an airstrip, and signage and decor for a glamping-themed lounge in a nearby campground, where editors could write, relax, hangout and enjoy a beer by the fire.

Best Foot Forward // Pop-Up Shop Design

This year-long pop-up shop was an immersive design build concept featuring hand-drawn murals of Brooklyn, direct printed plywood wall panels, tiled floors, branded neon signage and of course industrial product displays of clothing and footwear.

A Shotski, a talk-bubble shaped faux-fire pit, a ping pong table with branded paddles were just a few of the key decor elements of this trendy SxSW party.  Sorry, tequila not included.

A design showcasing some Ew! moments, this press preview featured five vignettes where germs spread easily, including a stylized playground, grocery store, classroom - and final visit at the Doctor's office.

We take special pride in designing and producing the TEDxMileHigh stage, one of the largest Tedx events around the world.  An update every event keeps the stage fresh, while utilizing pieces that are reflective of the Denver attitude and vibe, and the TED brand. Additional design is reflected in the bookstore design as well as in the Experience Lounge.
